THE PLANT SITE IN EQUATORIAL GUINEA

Our plant has a nominal capacity of 2,500 metric tons per day, achieving roughly 900,000 metric tons per year. It is located on Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea, on which is also located Malabo, the country’s capital city.

Our methanol facility occupies an important role in the island’s development and growth, both economically and socially. We have a broad plan in place to train local talent which has received the encouragement and favor of the government. Training classes are already underway and the students are overjoyed to have been selected to participate. For many, this opportunity would have been unthinkable only a very short time earlier.

There are now proven reserves of natural gas available which would support a doubling or even tripling of the present methanol production capacity. We have publicly stated that we intend to pursue the growth path as future markets make this feasible.
