The opening phrase of Atlantic Methanol’s Mission Statement emphasizes the intent to maximize value for our customers. This is accomplished through reliability of supply, consistent product quality and long-term relationships that have been developed through the years and across the industry.
Our primary sales approach is to serve the strongest end-use consumers whose businesses are built around methanol’s most preferable derivatives – those with the brightest future in terms of volume, sustainability and growth.
Atlantic Methanol’s marketing and sales efforts are managed from our corporate headquarters located in Houston, Texas. This convenient location provides quick and easy access to one of the nation’s premier petrochemical hubs, helping us to maintain a close sense of the pulse of the industry.
Primary Destinations
With our production located in Equatorial Guinea on the west coast of Africa, the most logical destinations served are those around the Atlantic Basin. North America and Western Europe presently consume about thirty percent of the world’s methanol, and our Logistics operations are geared for efficient and economical supply to those two regions.
Many expect that the fastest growth area for methanol demand in the future will be in Asia, particularly in China. However the U.S. and Western Europe will continue to require robust and reliable supplies of methanol as well. There is also an expanding demand for methanol in the oilfield services sector along the western African coast, and we are equipped at the plant site to load containers and tote bins for that market.
