Operations
Our plant has a nominal capacity of 3,000 metric tons per day, achieving over 1,000,000 metric tons per year. It is located on Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea, on which is also located Malabo, the country’s capital city.
Our plant first started production in May 2001 and has developed into one of the most reliable plants in the industry. Our demonstrated ability to consistently provide a quality product has given AMPCO an excellent reputation in the marketplace.
Our methanol facility occupies an important role in the island’s development and growth, both economically and socially. We have a broad plan in place to train local talent which has received the encouragement and favor of the government. Training classes are already underway and the students are overjoyed to have been selected to participate. For many, this opportunity would have been unthinkable only a very short time earlier.
