Main Purpose of Job

Carry out plumbing maintenance in the housing facility and plant area

Ensure compliance with current Company Regulations
Ensure compliance with international building standards
Maintain safe working practices as specified by such regulations
Undertake other tasks or assignments which may from time to time be directed as required by department supervisor and/or senior management

Receive Work Orders from the Camp and Housing Supervisor and/or foreman
Inspect work location and identify and remove any potential hazards or unsafe situations
Do repairs on defected plumbing materials as per daily work orders and schedule
Do faultfinding and repair where needed
Replace or repair any defect parts or material
Clear blocked drains and do daily inspections on drainage system
Do inspections on garden spray system and repair all defected materials
Do daily inspections on the dryer system and repair where needed
Do daily inspections on the sewage system and water treatment facility
Request materials in good time for work to be performed
Report any problems to your immediate supervisor
Ensure all duties are performed in a safe manner
Work with subcontractors, when required, for plumbing activities
Complete record system and documentation accurately
Clean up work site after completion of task
