ENTRY LEVEL SECURITY GUARD – Equato-Guinean Nationals Only

Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for protecting personnel, equipment, assets and resources on Punta Europa.  Responding to all Emergencies and situations as required.

• Maintain good relationship with company staff and visitors
• To stay awake at all times while on duty and to maintain vigilance in the proper performance of their required duties. To provide security, observe and report security/safety concerns to AMPCO Security Leader. Performs foot patrols in the Plants, property and office buildings/grounds to deter against unauthorized entry, damage, theft, or harm caused by others. To stay awake at all times while on duty and to maintain vigilance in the proper performance of their required duties. 
• Reports and responds to alarms and investigates disturbances as directed by security supervision.
• Writes reports of activities and irregularities, such as equipment, property damage, theft, and presence of unauthorized persons, violations of security policy, unusual occurrences and security concerns as directed by security supervision.
• Maintains a presence in areas where visitors and employees frequent to protect property and provide access control as directed by security supervision
• Answers questions and provides information during business and non-business hours as deemed appropriate by training, security policy, and procedure and/or security supervisor staff.
• Give verbal warnings to persons of rule infractions or violations, and escort violators from premises as directed by security supervisory staff.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
• Escort or drive a motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection if assigned those duties.
• Drive and guard vehicle to transport money and valuables to prevent theft and to take measures for safe delivery.
• Use radio communications for official use only.  Must use correct radio procedures as directed by training and Company and departmental policies
• To provide security, observe and report security/safety concerns to AMPCO Security Leader. Performs foot patrols in the Plants, property and office buildings/grounds to deter against unauthorized entry, damage, theft, or harm caused by others.  Man access control points to properly monitor authorized access to the Plants and to prevent/deter unauthorized access, etc.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft, security concerns and maintain security of premises, or Control who enters facilities, and check packages of those entering and leaving to deter theft.
• Check the I.D. badges and vehicle passes of people and vehicles entering and leaving the premises. Search all bags prior to exit.  Search all vehicles and compartments prior to exit.
• Report violations of access control procedures, material gate pass violations, theft, etc, to the security team leader, shift leader, or supervisor.
• Patrol the Plant and related areas/ premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of gates, materials, etc. If assigned to a Pipe Patrol will perform the required number of complete patrols as required and will report any and all discrepancies and/or security concerns to security supervisory staff.
