Air & GHG Emissions

AMPCO is committed to tracking GHG emissions from its plant and during marine transportation to meet our customers’ reporting requirements.

AMPCO’s practices are aligned with World Bank Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines. AMPCO has developed our approach to the management of ambient air quality, including point source and ambient air testing, based on US EPA regulations.

To manage air emissions from production, AMPCO invests in operating our plant with high reliability and minimal downtime to reduce flaring and the associated emissions, and properly maintains our equipment. Our employees understand their roles and responsibilities to meet AMPCO HES expectations.

As part of Atlantic Methanol’s pursuit of ESG excellence & its ongoing endeavor to meet or surpass stakeholder requirements, we are pleased to share a “Declaration of Product Carbon Footprint following ISO 14067” for IMPCA specification methanol produced at the Punta Europa Methanol Plant.

AMPCO’s initial PCF declaration is an independent study based on a “cradle-to-gate” approach which uses secondary data. AMPCO is committed to progressing toward publishing updated PCF information based on independently verified, primary data.
